Fitting in
Return to Archive
Australian society is made up of a mixture of cultures from around the world, so there is no chance of you feeling like the only 'non-Australian'. Instead, you can expect to feel accepted and welcome. Australia prides itself on its relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

When you come to Australia to study you immediately become part of your education provider's student culture. Australia and its education providers welcome international students and want to make sure that they feel at home and enjoy their study experience.

Your education provider will have a range of facilities to help you. These include orientation activities and on-campus groups. In addition, as you attend your classes you will meet your fellow students, all of whom will be in the same situation of being new in the course and wanting to get to know their class mates. Student accommodation is also renowned for the amount of social activities (and parties!) that happen.

Fitting in and meeting people will be part of the fun of studying in a new country.
